Feature request: labels for text widgets

It would be great it it were possible to add a non-displaying label to text widgets so that one knew which was which in a sidebar without opening it. At the moment, if you have a number of these, and have chosen not to give them titles, they all display simply as “text” which makes it very confusing. An alternative option might be to use the title field but have a choice of whether to display this or not on the blog.

That’s a theme/CSS issue. Have you tried hiding the Text Widget titles using a custom CSS plugin?

No I haven’t. I don’t want to hide all the titles, just to have that as an option. A label at the top of the widget seemed a good idea. But thank you.
