WP Super Cache
[Feature request] Export/Import settings (2 posts)

I often need to disable WP Super Cache when trying to debug some custom code or new plugins and exclude that issues are caused by the cache.

The issue is that each time I disable WP Super Cache I lose all my settings and each time I re-enable it, I have to set them up again.

    Here are my two requests:

    1. Keep the options stored, in order to get them back each time I re-enable the plugin.
    2. Allow to export/import these settings, in order to use them in other WP sites.

P.S.: as a side note, in the plugin WP page, in the "Other notes" tab, WP Widget Cache is suggested as additional plugin to cache widgets. I think that this plugin would help a lot (I use many widgets). However, this plugin has been updated last time on 2010-8-31. I suppose then that is not quite a wise move to install it, does it? Wouldn't be better to remove it from the suggested plugin?

Unfortunately, best practice when a plugin is disabled is to remove everything associated with that plugin to clean up.

You could make a master copy of the wp-content/wp-cache-config.php file.

Thanks for the heads up about the widget cache. I'll add a note warning that it hasn't been updated in a long time. That doesn't necessarily mean it doesn't still work of course!
