# Feature Request: Don't loose initial comments

 * If using .po files that have a initial comment section (at the beginning of the
   file, above the header section), as most of them do for the purpose of copyright
   notices, it will be lost after saving.
 * Same holds true for starting new translations; `gettext msginit` would port the
   initial comments from the .pot to the .po. (I undestand that might be a bit more
   involved.)
