• I’m sorry if I am already annoying with my posts πŸ™‚

As I am currently trying to configure Multisite Language Switcher for three sites that were running in three different installations, I ran into a small “problem”:

I went into all posts of one existing installation and chose the correct translation for all posts.
Because there are many posts in the blog, I did not find the corrent translation for each post on the first try.
So I chose the connections for those posts where it was clear to me.

On the second run, I went into another blog and checked the posts where connections were missing. Sometimes it is easier for me e.g. to get the corresponding german translation if I see the english one.

The problem here is: When I select the corresponding translation in this post, I am forced to select the translations for both posts, otherwise the already selected connection will be deleted.
To make it clear, here an example:

    Blog A, Post A1
    Blog B, Post B1
    Blog C, Post C1

I went through all Posts in Blog A and selected the translation B1 for Post A1, but was not aware that the right translation of Blog C was Post C1.
So I went in Blog C and looked through the Posts. I edited Post C1 and saw that the correct translation of this post must be Post A1 in Blog A.
If I would not also select Post B1 again, this connection would be deleted, although it was selected in Blog A.

A solution would be to “merge” these connections when saving.

I hope you unterstand what I mean πŸ™‚

But there should be no problem with this. When you are in A and you save the connections, also B and C get an update.

They do, but I am forced to select both translations if I am in Blog C.

Yes of course but this is in most cases the wish of the user which would expect that the plugins “cleans” the connection in this way.
