Feature Request – Context-based Store Pics and/or Links

Hi Zack,

Would this be possible? We have about 1500 blog postings created before we found this plugin. I was thinking it would be great if the plugin could update those posts with links and/or product pics whenever the post is talking about a product we carry.

For example, in a post about China Silk, the plugin would link the words China Silk to one of our China Silk products (the first one in the list maybe) or even better, the China Silk category (another enhancement request – adding support for Volusion categories.)

Maybe the plugin could let the user specify whether he wants links, pictures or both inserted into posts and which categories to scan.

Then (if possible) the plugin would scan all posts in specified categories to look for words that match products we carry in the store and link them. It sounds like a lot of processing if you have 2000 products and 1500 blog posts, so maybe the processing can be scheduled or throttled if needed.

Anyway, I’d love to see this capability. The Zazzle Widget does this, but it bases the ad on the tags instead of the content in the post. I’d rather see the Volusion plugin use the post text, but either way would be great!
