    First off – thank you very much for the work you put into this plugin. It is a huge time saver and has helped bridge the gap between development / staging / production environments.

    One minor request would be to combine both the installer.php and archive files into one package. Sorry to be nitpicky, but it would save a few steps of renaming all the “installer (1).php”, etc files that I end up with and would just be cleaner IMO.

    Thanks again!

  • Hi @fabrizim,

    Thanks for the thanks 🙂

    If the installer is in the package then you would have to manually extract the installer from the package to get the installer to run… Seems like it would save you a little bit of time when downloading but more time would be involved getting the installer out to run it.

    If it was coupled with the ‘Manual Extraction’ mode then it may not be bad. I have never had that asked for before, but I’ll add it to the todo list (which is rather long right now). I’m seeing where that might be handy…

    Cheers~

    Hey @fabrizim,

    This feature is now in the latest version. The name of the installer file that will be placed in the the archive will be installer-backup.php The very latest version (0.5.5) can be found by following these instructions:

    -> Browse to http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/duplicator/developers/
    -> Look for the section “Other Versions”
    -> Click on “Development Version” and download the zip plugin file

    Let me know if this is what your looking for…

    Thanks
