Support » Plugin: Easy Updates Manager » Feature Request: Both “From Version” and “To Version” in the Update Logs

  • After using it for a long time now only recently I realized how useful is the Update Logs feature of this plugin. But one additional information I would love to see in the logs is to have an extra column to show the version number of the item before the update was made. Basically it would have two columns then showing version numbers as “From Version” and “To Version”.

    We don’t always update items from the most previous version to the current version. In these situations both the “from” and “to” version numbers are important if we are to roll back the update to solve a related issue.

    Thanks for the excellent plugin.

    Good idea. I will run that by the team and see what they think of it.

    This is a winning enhancement. Anything else you think might be useful? This is the first feedback I’ve received directly concerning logs outside of our team.

    Thank you for considering my request.

    And yes, I’ve another suggestion to enhance the same functionality;
    As a precautionary measure we update some plugins only manually, especially on live sites. Even more we don’t update all of them at once but in few rounds or one-by-one sometimes. Currently this has to be done using WP update or WP plugin page, and then EUM doesn’t log these events. For this reason, I wonder if EUM could handle manual updates as well within it’s interface, and in the process log the events just like auto updates.
