Support » Plugin: WooCommerce Gift Coupon » Feature request: barcode and or QR code generation

This seems like a very nice coupon generator. It would be nice if it could generate barcodes and QR codes so that folks with brick and mortar stores could also accept the coupons in store (offline). Of course, that would complicate tracking when it is redeemed.

    Thanks.

    Hi @starapple

This improviment maybe could be for WooCommerce plugin. We can not change the functionallity of WooCommerce coupons.

    Sorry,

    Regards,

    Hi @studiosweb,

Thanks for your reply. I think it can be done through the email template. In fact, I’ve generated the barcode PNG image but just don’t know how to pass the URL to whatever generates the PDF. So I get the numeral 1 printed on the page rather than the image or the numbers of the code.

I can show you the workings I’ve done using David Tufts’s PHP Barcode generator: http://davidscotttufts.com/2009/03/31/how-to-create-barcodes-in-php/

    Hi @starapple

Create a barcode it´s not difficult, the problems it´s that somebody use that barcode. WooCommerce coupon needs an integration to disable the coupon, that integration i don´t know if is possible because WooCommerce not allow a webservices to work with coupons as public way.

Anyway WooCommerce needs an integration to work with coupons…
