Thanks for creating the WP external links plugins. It’s a great plugin for automatically managing external links and adding an icon to links.

    Feature requests

Adding the next link rel attributes options to the “Excluded links” tab.

    – external
    – sponsored
    – ugc

    Use case / scenario

Om my website I distinguish between two kind of external links, Normal links, e.g. a link to a Wikipedia article and affiliate links e.g. links from an affiliate network.

To distinguish between the above two link categories I use the “Exclude external links by URL” box in the “Exceptions” tab of the plugin. Here I list the domains of my affiliate networks. Secondly I use the setting “Own settings for excluded links (extra tab)”

This allows me to set two different link icons for “normal” external links in the “External links” tab and for affiliate links in the “Excluded links” tab. This is a really cool feature.

However I am not capable to set the “sponsored” rel attribute on the “Exclude links” tab

This capability is only present in the “External links” tab and not in the “Excluded links” tab.

It would be really cool if you could add, the “external”, “sponsored” and “ugc” rel attributes to the “Excluded links” for this use scenario.

    Thanks, Bart

@bart88 I will add this to our dev team to-do list and see if they can fit it at the next update. Thanks for it.
