Feature request: add a Pause button | WordPress.org

Hello! The plugin works great in my scenarios. But when it comes to process huge amounts of images, it can really last almost 15 hours to complete the task. I’m talking about large ecommerce websites, when you need to change something at design level or even changing the theme may require you to resize all the product images.
If processing the images may take so many hours, you will surely be running the process at the same time high traffic is on the website. Such situations may lead to high cpu usage for several hours. In those scenarios -which are very common to me- a Pause button would be really appreciated.
Is this possible to accomplish?

With that many images, if you have SSH access to your server, then I recommend that you use WP-CLI instead of my plugin. It will be faster and also allow you to easily batch up your resizes into smaller chunks if you want to only do a set amount at a time.

If you don’t have SSH access to your server and need to continue to use my plugin, I plan on adding a pause button to the next release.
