Support » Plugin: SG Optimizer » Feature request: add a filter to be able reorder the CSS before combine them

There are cases where it is needed to manipulate the order of CSS files before combine them in order to avoid breaking the style or add CSS to the exclusion list.

For this reason it would nice to have a filter that I can call to manipulate the array order. What do you think about this proposal?

    Hey @marcoragogna

We will consider your request, but I don’t think that this will be something useful.

My point is, that this may cause more issues for people that are not familiar with how wp styles are enqueued, than helps people fix the combine css issues.

We will release new version soon, with exclude interface that should fix most of Combine Css problem.

Our Combine CSS functionality uses the default order of the styles, before combine them, so if you have control over the stylesheets, you can reorder them in your theme or plugin (IMPORTANT: do not edit public plugins, because your changes will be lost after update).

Or you could use some plugin that provides such reordering functionality.

Again, thanks for your suggestion, we will consider it.

    Regards,
    Stanimir
