Currently the plugin simply prompts the user to tick the check box marked “I am human”.

It would be helpful to be able to customize this text and replace it with something else. Something more in-line with the theme and style of my website.

Could this be possible? Either within the Plugin itself or maybe perhaps within the hCaptcha website?

It cannot be done in the WordPress plugin, as the text is inside of core hCaptcha javascript. You should address this issue on the Captcha website.

But the text is in the localization/ translation files inside the plugin folder.

I can make the edits myself, but if the plugin doesn’t provide a way to customize it then my changes will just be overwritten the next time the plugin is updated. 🙁
