 * So, I have a need to temporarily remove several links in my store that I will
   be having to recreate again in the near future. Rather than to “Remove” the menu
   item and have to recreate it again later… it sure would be nice to a an option
   added to “Hide” a link instead. Thoughts?

 * I think the closest we have to that would be to use the Roles functionality (
   in Pro) to hide the menu items in question from all users (or you could make 
   it so that only admins can see those items):
