    Hi All,

I’d just like to query about feature removal from the free version of the plugin. For example, after 2.8.3 it appears we lost the ability to set a custom LDAP filter. In 2.9 onwards the option has changed to only specify the attribute used to login (cn for example)

I have no problem with features being removed, but can you please make sure the changelog reflects this?

Also, How’s compatibility with PHP 7.2? I ran a check and it says it uses some functions that have been deprecated as of 7.1, so I suppose it’s not compatible? (This is version 2.8.3 as I need the custom LDAP filter functionality to check group membership).

    Thanks 🙂

Ignore the PHP query, it looks like the file that has issues is generate_saml_assertion.php

I guess that shouldn’t be included in the LDAP plugin 🙂

The file has been removed in the latest version update. It is not being used either so you can choose to remove it or update to the latest version.

    Keep your 2.8.3!
All new versions from 2.8.3 to 3.0.4 don’t bring anything new but gradually remove all the features.

Hey @alysko, thanks for the version check. Good to know.

After upgrade to version 3.0.3, “LDAP groups to WordPress Users Role Mapping” feature suddenly stopped working! That unexpectedly broke my site integration with LDAP directory. My bad anyway, because I didn’t test it enough after upgrade and it went unnoticed for quite some time. Turns out, this feature is now paid and it doesn’t work in the free version.

@cyberlord92, you’re doing a poor job informing your users about such changes, too bad!
