Does this plugin let the user add their podcast audio files to a playlist to resume later? Also can I turn on or off the download option depending on member level? I’m looking to integrate this with the woocommerce membership extension and have it so that to download the podcast you need to upgrade.

    Hi there,

We do have a playlist shortcode that lists out the episodes for a podcast or Series, but nothing where a listener can add their own custom episodes to a unique list.

That’s a good suggestion though, and we’ll put that in our development queue.

As for protecting some of the contents yes there are a few ways to approach this: with our built in password protection of your RSS feed, or with a membership plugin for certain pages/posts on the site. They both have their merits and depending on what else you’re trying to do with the site might dictate which route is better. If you’d like to share a bit more about the use case we might be able to steer you in the right direction.

So I’m planning to use woocommerce memberships extension for this, but specifically to not let a user download a copy of their audio file unless they upgrade..is that possible with this plugin to segment that option out?

    Hi there

I can’t confirm if this would work straight off the bat between WooCommerce Memberships and SSP, however our plugin contains a variety of hooks and filters which we’d be able to hook into and modify based on the user’s membership level.

    Does this help at all?

Sure one other thing I’m curious about is if you have analytics built in as well?

    Hi there

The plugin tracks analytics off the bat, however you’ll need to install Seriously Simple Stats in order for you to view that data.

    I hope this helps?
