Feature Posts only in current page’s category

    How can I customize this widget so the featured posts only show posts in the same category as the parent page? For example, if I am currently viewing a recipe, I only want to see other recipes, not items from other categories, in the Featured Posts widget?

    Hi @kmangold,

    This plugin unfortunately only allows you to display specific pages. It does not include the functionality to dynamically display pages based on a set of criteria, such as the category of the parent page.

    Would you be able to point me to a file/line number(s) where I may be able to add this? FWIW, I’m a software engineer so wont need help writing the code, I’m just new to WordPress and hoping to get this done on the sooner end.
