  • Hi there,

Thank you for getting in touch with us.

Please install this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/ and resize all featured images to the size you wish.

Hope that helps. Thank you for your time in this.

    Best regards

I also am having difficulty with my image sizes. I did install the above plug and followed the instructions but nothing changed.

The image is okay when looking at the blog but then when you click on the actual item and go to where the recipe is, the image is way too big.

    Can you help?

    the site is cookingwithsugarandspice.com

I also would like to change the font on my front page and don’t know how to do that.

    Thanks.

    Hi @laytonbysky1.

That plugin only affects images in the blog feed.

Your images in an actual blog post are too big because they’re too big initially, for instance, one (Honey Scones) is 4.032px × 3.024px.

You should use images of approx. 1200x800px for your Featured Post.

Regarding your other questions, you should be able to find a way of doing that in some of the previous threads, but if you don’t, please open a new thread since this one is marked as resolved and the font question is totally unrelated to the initial issue.

    Kind regards.

Thanks again however I’m having difficulty resizing. I will continue to look for a solution and will start another thread for my other question.

Thanks again so much for helping me delete the stock photos. Much appreciated.

@laytonbysky1 Please follow the instructions from this article: https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/crop-image-wordpress/ (Scale your image section) to resize images directly in WordPress image editor.

    Hope that helps.

Hi: Thanks for sending me the link for cropping images. I followed the instructions but the image still looks too big to me when you click on the actual item. Or is my eyes?

that did not work either. my feature image is set to 800×800 and while on the “edit post” page my image still is showing as a rectangle and no longer a square, which when i publish is still a rectangle.

    Hi @motherofchaos3,

Could you please share the URL to your site?

Have you tried to use this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/ ?
It allows you to change default featured posts size so you can set up your images on blog feed to your image size: 800x800px.

    Kind regards
