I used to get a lot of fake users/emails that could register to my website. I have an ecommerce site. It stopped for a while and now is starting up again. There used to be a site that I could copy and paste the email that “they” used and it would tell me if the email was spam/fake or not. But that is gone now. Does Wordfence have an option to block fake users/emails from registering? If so what setting should I look for and where, thank you.

One option in Wordfence that might block some of the bad registrations is “Block IP’s who send POST requests with blank User-Agent and Referer”, under the Other Options section. If the bots are coded poorly (many are, but not all), these would be blank, but they should be complete for real users. If you use this option, be sure to test that it works correctly with your other plugins.

I’ll ask the dev team if a feature like this could be added. I can’t promise that every suggestion we get will make it into a release, or when that might be, but every suggestion we get is evaluated carefully and considered seriously. We value the input we get from our customers. A member of our dev team may or may not reach out to you here to ask for more detail. Thank you for helping to make Wordfence great.
