We recently built and launched a new site for our church, Faith Celebration Fellowship in North Hollywood, CA: http://fcflife.com/ . The idea here is to create a "church without walls" that congregation can use all the time to stay up on current events, discussions, latest devotions and sermons, pictures, videos and a bunch of other stuff. What we are realizing is that our original vision for the site was a little bit busy and maybe even confusing, so we are trying to find ways to streamline and optimize the experience for our church users and everyone else.

I was hoping some of you could take a look at it and provide any feedback on the design, functionality, and overall experience of the site. Any feedback is appreciated!

Man, I love this stie. Great job. I would love to talk some about how you built this site. Drop me an email at carguy1@tampabay.rr.com if you might be willing help me out some.

Did you use wordpress for this?
If so, did you custom build it, or did you use a theme?

Anyways, I have a bunch of questions. I have built a WP site for our youth group and have considered doing something similar for our churches main site (which needs to be updated badly). You can check out the youth site I built here. Thanks for any help you can provide and great job on your site.

yep it's a custom-built theme but it's originally based on the veryplaintxt theme: http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/veryplaintxt that's a good one to start with because it's real simple. We pretty much just built a static html layout based on http://960.gs/ and implemented it into the theme.
