First time poster here, hoping someone can help with a bit of a problem I’m having…
I’m trying to add a FB like button to my site (specifically, to the following page: http://michaelthede.com/featured-films/my-best-friend-charlie). Followed the FB developer instructions and everything seems to work fine on the website side, but when I check FB after I’ve liked the page, it displays the wrong image (in fact, I’ve added 4 different like buttons to my site and they all display a different image in FB).
Here is the code for the button itself:
<iframe src="//www.facebook.com/plugins/like.php?href=http%3A%2F%2Fmichaelthede.com%2Ffeatured-films%2Fmy-best-friend-charlie&send=false&layout=button_count&width=75&show_faces=false&action=like&colorscheme=dark&font=arial&height=21" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" style="border:none; overflow:hidden; width:75px; height:21px;" allowTransparency="true"></iframe>
And here is the meta tag code I added just above </header> in the header.php of my Twenty Eleven child theme:
<meta property="og:title" content="Michael Thede | screenwriter | producer | story editor" /> <meta property="og:type" content="movie" /> <meta property="og:url" content="http://michaelthede.com/featured-films/my-best-friend-charlie" /> <meta property="og:image" content="http://michaelthede.com/wp-content/images/michael-thede-white-on-gray-perspective-2012.png" /> <meta property="og:site_name" content="Michael Thede | screenwriter | producer | story editor" /> <meta property="fb:admins" content="707620882" />
As far as I can tell, FB just ignores the meta tags. Not sure if theme has anything to do with it, but I’m using the Twenty Eleven dark theme to create the site.
Any help anyone has on this would be very, very appreciated!
