Support » Plugin: Yoast SEO » FB debugger reports missing OG tags that are clearly not missing

It’s maddening. Custom OG title, desc, and image are completely ignored. Cache cleared, page re-scraped in debugger. Clicking the “See exactly what our scraper sees for your URL” link within FB debugger shows me generated source, ALSO WITH THE OG TAGS RIGHT THERE IN THE YOAST BLOCK. Native meta title/desc are still being used. Support here seems to only punt to “Buy Pro,” but this should work, right? It’s pretty basic.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • It should work. I wonder if the page not being SSL but the links to it being SSL matters?

    Hi @bigbritches,

Yes, Yoast SEO adds all of the Open Graph tags too, the issue is not related to using the free version.

Your robots.txt file seems to be the issue, as you are blocking all bots from crawling your website, which would explain why Facebook isn’t able to detect those tags. Check if the issue persist if you change the robots.txt file to:

    User-agent: *
    Disallow:
