    Hi there. I’ve been trying to apply my own favicon to my website, but to no avail. i tried doing it manually and then tried using Admin Favicon (John Kolbert). The former technique failed, and the latter was successful, only on the wp admin page. When i go to my website (, it doesnt display the favicon. This makes me wonder if it’s a problem with the theme?

    Did anyone manage to use a favicon with this theme?

  • Your:
    <link rel=”shortcut icon” href=”favicon.ico”>

    is at the top before the <Head> tag so it won’t work there.
    You have it in the wrong place in your code. Maybe the header.php?
    Don’t know that theme but you need to move it.

    i already removed it from the code, and relied solely on the plugins, and it still doesnt work =\

    tried admin favicon, wp favicon, and shockingly simple favicon. all three of them dont work. i apologize for the nubness

    Hmm…after a while, it comes up in safari, but not showing up on firefox…(using Shockingly Simple Favicon)

    Have never used a plugin for that. Always just added the code manually to header.php
