    Hi all,

    I’m having difficulty changing the favicon. I’ve uploaded it to my host through the FTP file, then I went to WordPress to do the following as described in their link

    1. Select the file called Header or header.php to edit the file.
    2. Search for the line of code that begins with <link rel=”shortcut icon” and ends with /favicon.ico” />. Overwrite it, if it exists, or add the following code below the <head> HTML tag.
    <link rel=”shortcut icon” href=”<?php echo get_stylesheet_directory_uri(); ?>/favicon.ico” />

    But the only code I have after <link is:
    <link rel=”profile” href=”″ />
    <link rel=”pingback” href=”<?php bloginfo( ‘pingback_url’ ); ?>” />

    I have done a search and can not find the word favicon or any variation of it, such as favicon.ico, in the Header.php or the custom-header.php

    Can anyone suggest how to proceed?

    Thanks so much for your time in answering.
