Thanks, Arne.
To my eye, it looks the same on Imgur as it does on my browser, what I called “blurry.” Maybe “soft” would be a better word. The letter edges are soft compared to the hard edges I had formerly.
By contrast, look at the Imgur favicon. See how sharp it is; that’s how mine used to look. It’s all the difference in the world in terms of the impression it makes on viewers.
What’s changed? A setting somewhere, perhaps?
I don’t know if the latest upgrade was in aid of this problem, but the letters in my favicon are still fat and dirty, rather than thin and clean as formerly.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Hi @ron Cohen
I don’t know what to say – the favicon is displayed just as it was uploaded here.
All that my plugin does is render the link into the page.
All that a (any) browser does is download the image and display it.
Cheers,
Arne
Thanks, Arne.
I wonder if there’s some kind of font smoothing turned on in Windows or in my browser? I dimly remember such an option, but I couldn’t recall where it’s controlled.
Regards,
Ron
