# Fatal Errors when customizing and installing

 * When I click on any links to customize a theme I get this fatal error:
 * Fatal error: Cannot access parent:: when current class scope has no parent in/
   home/mysite/public_html/wordpress/wp-includes/class-wp-customize-control.php 
   on line 345
 * When I attempt to install or upgrade a theme or plugin I get this fatal error:
 * Fatal error: Call to undefined method Theme_Upgrader::init() in /home/mysite/
   public_html/wordpress/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-upgrader.php on line 823
 * I can upload themes and plugins via FTP and activate them. But lose major functionality
   via the admin dashboard due to the fatal errors.

 * I reviewed the master list at the link you provided, didn’t see anything relating
   to my issues.

 * Next up, a manual update to 3.7.1 maybe that will do the trick!

 * I MANUALLY updated to 3.7.1 then tested via the admin dashboard to see if the
   FATAL ERROR that occurred when I would click on customize would come up. I was
   able to get into the theme customization on the first try, but when I closed 
   it, and went back to the dashboard to try again, the FATAL ERROR came up again.

 * This error comes up for every theme I activate.
 * All current plugins are deactivated.
 * I also tried to install a new plugin, and again this fatal error comes up
 * Fatal error: Call to undefined method Plugin_Upgrader::init() in /home/wwwXXX/
   public_html/wordpress/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-upgrader.php on line 441
 * Might there be a caching issue?

 * I am getting these errors too. Stripped out all of my plugins and themes and 
   still continued to get the errors. Think I began noticing this with 3.6.

 * Web host ended up making some edits to the php.ini to disable eAccelerator and
   some other changes, problems no longer.
