 * Looks like this issue has been raised 6 months ago yet no update to support modern
   php 🙁 is this theme dead?

 * Thanks for adding your voice here, we really appreciate hearing from you.
 * Our free themes are still alive and actively supported, but you’re right that
   development/forward progress has clearly taken a bit of a hit since the the pandemic,
   when we lost several team members. We still have ambitious plans for Kale, it’s
   just been a matter of limited manpower, which we truly are working on at the 
   moment.
