Hi everyone. I need help, I designed a website for a customer, I wanted to update the wordpress to a new version 4.7.8 and I’ve got a fatal error message: “Fatal error: Call to undefined function current_theme_supports() in /home/u691482164/public_html/wp-includes/taxonomy.php on line 148”. Could you please help? Thank yo very much.

Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

Thank you very much James for your response. I just tried to delete the last plugins installed but it’s not resolved yet. By FTP I saw a folder called “upgrade” where is inside a folder of the installation “wordpress 4.7.3-2Olqbz”. The problem should be there, what if I delete it?? I have no clue.. sorry
