[Plugin: Tabbed Widgets] Fatal error with widgets after some plugin upgrades
-
hi there,
I use the one click plugin updater, and updated soem plugins today. I do not remember which ones, as I used the mass upgrade function. After that when I click on DESIGN => WIDGETS in my backend I get the following error:
Fatal error: Nesting level too deep - recursive dependency? in /var/www/web6/web/wordpress/wp-includes/widgets.php on line 266
anyone already got this problem? Otherwise I’ll have to wait another day until someone else updates his plugins and gets this error :-)plugi

I traced the problem back to the upgrade of the http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tabbed-widgets/ plugin.
Hello,
since i did the automatical update, i’ve lost my sidebar tabbed widget and in the options menu of the plugin i don’t have choice of widget to show anymore….
but i don’t have fatal error printed(I have wordpress 2.6.1 and php4)
Here is a description of the problem: http://konstruktors.com/blog/wordpress/458-tabbed-widgets-now-better-than-ever/#comment-7799
It has been fixed in the latest 0.72 release.
Hello, (sorry for my bad english)
I did the update 0.71 and after 0.72 but I thing the plug-in now has still some problems, sorry maybe is my problem, I use WP2.6.1 and glossyblue theme.
It was perfect before the update.
It doesn’t show the widget and the tabs are empty… is very strange.
Where can I download an old version 0.70?Thanks
Carloto kaspard: i have already the 0.72 version and it’s this version which show nothing in the widget…
to Arlos: the same thing to meArlos, you can always get the older 0.2 version here:
http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/tabbed-widgets.0.2.zip
OK, version 0.73 has been uploaded to the repo and it should fix the problem.
i have just upgraded my tabbed-widgets to version 0.73, but now the menu is gone and in the dashboard I get the following error:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/content/r/e/l/relevantserver/html/micahblog/wp-content/plugins/tabbed-widgets/tabbed-widgets.php on line 533
followed by the following message:
Notice: List of active widgets is empty. Creating it with $this->get_active_widgets() now.
Any ideas on how I fix this?
micahmathis – I have a similar problem. I hope it will be resolved.
Tal.
I’m getting the “$this->get_active_widgets() now.” error also
I appear to be getting the same message, using v0.73.
Notice: List of active widgets is empty. Creating it with $this->get_active_widgets() now.
plugin looks good, so I hope that some solution is found.
im getting a similar error
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/thinkalo/public_html/theme/wp-content/plugins/tabbed-widgets/tabbed-widgets.php on line 533
Thanks for reporting the bug, everyone.
Could you please try the latest version (0.73-fix3) from the trunk:
http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/tabbed-widgets.zipand let me know if it solves the problem.
unfortunately it did not fix the problem for me. I am now getting this error:
Notice: List of active widgets is empty. Creating it with $this->get_active_widgets() now. Do you see anything in the drop-drown list of widgets?
Also in the Tab 1: drop down menu it says Widget List Empty (error no.1)
It says the same thing in every Tab drop down menu.
Thanks for working on this. I love the plug-in and would hate to lose it.
micahmathis, which version of PHP are you running?
