Fatal error while activating another theme.

    I did: =============
    Before this all happened. I did add several new plugins and activated some of them. But I did not add any to my blog.

    In the Admin Site, theme selector:
    I had clicked on the notepad-chaos theme to see it before activating it. It did not “pre-view” but I activated it anyway. I then viewed my site. Everything looked great. I then clicked on green-mile. The same thing happened, it did not “pre-view” but I activated it anyway.

    I saw: =============
    I then tried to viewed my site. I got this on my site: http://casaresfamily.org/weblog/.

    Fatal error: Cannot redeclare pagenavi_init() (previously declared in /home/content/c/a/s/casaresfamily/html/weblog/wp-content/plugins/wp-pagenavi/wp-pagenavi.php:176) in /home/content/c/a/s/casaresfamily/html/weblog/wp-content/themes/green-mile/functions.php on line 97

    I expected: ========
    I did not see the green-mile theme. I also can no longer login-in or see my blog.

    disable the pagenavi plugin.

    how does one disable plugins when they cant get into wp-admin?

    the directions for that are on the plugins page, for all to read:

    delete the folder and files using an ftp client.

    Thank you. I am new to WordPress and Blogs. I will try to do more reading.

    If you can’t see the theme in the preview box then it’s not a good idea to activate it, since you have no idea if it works… that’s the idea of having a preview.

    Usually if the theme has a name with a hyphen i see a blank screen.. so…

    Rename the theme from “some-name-with-hypen” to “somename” or whatever you like (as in the folder name), then preview it. If you still get nothing (blank), there’s a very good chance the theme won’t work.
