# Fatal Error when updating WordPress or plugins

 * I get this error when trying to update the WordPress installation or when trying
   to update plugins.
 * Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate
   261904 bytes) in D:\Hosting\11464758\html\wp-admin\includes\file.php on line 
   159
 * I did the manual update of wordpress but I still get the error for all plugins.
 * Can you help me fix it?

 * This is what i got when I change a function in my active theme… Fatal error :
   Call to undefined function
    ad_shortcode() in /home/content/61/11063961/ html/
   curious/wp-content/themes/accesspress- lite/functions.php on line 134 how can
   I resolve this????

 * It is but so are some other sites I run, but on different servers, and they don’t
   have this problem.

 * And as for shared hosting, some servers might be good and others might not. I
   would contact your host about this issue.
