Fatal Error when posting an image

  • Whenever I drag and drop an uploaded image into a post, Save or Publish fails and I get the following message:

    # id=(“|)(\d+)\1#i # id=(“|)(\d+)\1#i
Fatal error: Cannot use object of type stdClass as array in /home/website/wp-includes/functions-post.php on line 382

    Edit: I’m using Beta 2.

  • If you are using the SVN, then update (or wait for the next nightly).

It was fixed last night, so maybe the fix is in the current nightly.

How do I get the nightlies? I just downloaded Beta 2 from the announcement in these forums.

When you are dealing with a beta, you should set up the Subversion as described in Subversion Access. There are too many changes going on now, otherwise you could download each changed file individually from http://trac.wordpress.org/browser/ but the SVN allows you to remain current and if something is introduced that “breaks” your installation, allows you to backup to a previous revision number.
