# Fatal error when installing the plugin

 * I’m getting an error when installing wp-piwik.
 * The error is as follows:
    /* Plugin could not be activated because it triggered
   a fatal error.
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home2/bmynucom/public_html/
   ecreations/ibldemo/wp-content/plugins/wp-piwik/wp-piwik.php on line 762
    */
 * Any idea why?

 * You are obviously using a deprecated version of PHP (5.2 or lower). WP-Piwik 
   and Piwik itself require at least PHP 5.3, recommended is PHP 5.4 or higher. 
   Please update (or ask your host to update) to a current version of PHP.
 * PHP 5.2 reached its end of life in 2011, 5.3 reached its end of life last year.
