    Hi,

I’m getting hundreds instances of the error message below in my wordpress debug log:
WC_VAT_Compliance_Preselect_Country::woocommerce_customer_taxable_address(): Caught: Call to a member function get() on null at /html/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/includes/wc-cart-functions.php line 394

I spoke already to the developer of the VAT compliance plugin and he says this is caused by a bug in Woocommerce his plugin is catching when calling wc_get_chosen_shipping_method_ids().

Do you know what may be causing this?

    Hello

    Thanks for contacting Woo.com support!

To help you further, I’d like to understand more about your setup.

Could you please send me a copy of your site’s System Status?
You can find it via WooCommerce > Status.
Select Get system report and then Copy for support.

Once you’ve done that, you can paste it here or into our http://quickforget.com service and send that secret link here.

Looking forward to your response 🙂

    Hi Zubair,

    Hi @cyrix2000,

Sorry we weren’t able to get to your quickforget before it expired. Would you mind resending?
When did this issue begin, or has it been happening since you installed the plugin?
Normally, this type of message is related to a conflict between WooCommerce and third-party plugins. Please see How to test for plugin and theme conflicts to help diagnose what could be causing this behaviour.

    Thanks!

Hi, the issue is still happening and the plugin developer stated that it is a well known but unfixed bug in Woocommerce core. I googled it and there are several users having issues with it over the last years (e.g. here: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/uncaught-error-call-to-undefined-function-wc_get_chosen_shipping_method_ids/). It would be great if you could address the issue.

    Hello @cyrix2000,

I understand your concern regarding the ongoing issue with the WooCommerce plugin.

We appreciate your patience and your effort in bringing this to our attention. Our team is constantly working to improve the functionality of our platform and plugins, and we take all bug reports seriously and strive to address them as quickly as possible.

With that said, I recommend opening a GitHub issue in the WC Forum.

    Hi,
I get exactly the same message : how did you solved this ?

    Hi,

unfortunately not at all. I raised it as a bug on GIT but nothing happened. The developer of the third party plugin added some code to stop adding the error generated to the log file, but that’s just treating the symptoms.
