    Hi folks,

I am experiencing an error on my WordPress site. I”m wondering if I installed a plug in that is not compatable and giving me issues but am not sure, as I am fairly new to Word Press.
    My home page is: http://launchnow.ca

    The error reads:
Warning: require(/home/zelda/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/zelda/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 478

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/home/zelda/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/zelda/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 478

I tried to 1) re-install the file indicated (pluggable.php)and I also tried to 2) re-install the full WordPress

however the I am still encountering the error (and yes I cleared my cache). Hoping someone can assist.
Thank you for your time,it’s greatly appreciated.

    Zelda

    Look at your error:

    /home/zelda/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php

    No such file or directory

    http://launchnow.ca/wp-includes/

do you see a pluggable.php in that directory? I dont.

My mistake. There was a filed called plugin.php but not pluggable.php A long 7-line error messsage can be confusing to a newbie but I see it clearly now that you’ve snipped it.
Thanks very much for time and assistance. It works fine now. If I can be of any help to you (obviously not in WordPress but whatever 🙂 then feel free to let me know.
    Cheers

    @iamzelda,

no worries! I snipped it to make it easier to see as yes, I know long error messages can intimidate.

dont ever let those bother you..

someday, if im ever in canada 🙂

PS: you should create an empty index.html and upload it to your wp-includes/ directory

    Hello whooami,

I am having a similar problem with my blog also:

    http://www.photomartuniversity.com

    and the error message reads:

Warning: require(/home7/photomar/public_html/wp-content/themes/masunurin/functions/option.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home7/photomar/public_html/wp-content/themes/masunurin/masunurin/functions.php on line 18

and I almost attempted to solve the issue with the “FileZilla” resolution but wanted to be 100% certain that it was the correct approach to solve the issue. PLEASE HELP!!!!

yours is a theme problem…delete/rename the theme and it’ll switch you back to the default theme

I can’t login to my wordpress dashboard though, the same error keeps showing through any link that I type to get into it

    http://www.photomartuniversity.com/admin

    or

    http://www.photomartuniversity.com/wp-admin/themes.php

sorry, I meant you have to do that with an ftp program (or by logging onto your host if they allow you to edit files online)

if you have to ftp, filezilla is a good one

Are there any other methods of restoring my blog without doing that?

Oh, nevermind, problem solved! Thanks for your help RVoodoo!!!

Hey there, I’m running 2.8.6 and im not an experienced coder. I installed a plugin called “Random Posts Widget” (Website here http://www.romantika.name/v2/wordpress-plugin-random-posts-widget/) and as I clicked install I saw that is had not been tested for my version, alas it was too late. And now whenever I attempt to go on my website or into my admin page i am given this error message

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare widget_ara_randomposts() (previously declared in /websites/123reg/LinuxPackage21/mi/sc/mu/miscmusic.net/public_html/wp-content/plugins/random-posts-widget/randomposts.php:198) in /websites/123reg/LinuxPackage21/mi/sc/mu/miscmusic.net/public_html/wp-content/plugins/random-posts-widget/randomposts.php on line 198

    Help Me!
