    We are sorry to see that you’re having trouble with our plugin. To investigate the issue further, we’d like you to please perform a conflict check first by disabling all the 3rd party plugins except Yoast SEO and switching the theme to the default 2021 to see whether you can find the exact cause of the issue. You can find the relevant conflict check guide here https://yoast.com/help/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/.

    It’s definitely the Yoast plugin itself. I activated troubleshooting mode on my site so that it was like I just installed Wordopress for the first time and I also disabled all of the plugins except for Yoast and I still get the error.

    Thanks for your confirmation. That’s very odd as we haven’t received such a report from anyone else before. In this case, can you please try reinstalling the Yoast SEO plugin to see whether it resolves it?

    If not, can you please try resetting the Yoast SEO Indexables tables and migrations by following the steps given below to see if it resolves it for you?

    • Install and activate Yoast Test Helper plugin;
    • Go to Tools → Yoast Test → Yoast SEO → Reset indexables tables & migrations options to reset it;
    • Run SEO data optimization from the SEO → Tools page.

    Let us know whether the issue persists after performing the above steps.

    Hi,

    We’re sorry to hear that the issue is still occurring. Just to clarify, you’ve attempted to reinstall the plugin (please do try to update to the latest version manually via FTP), and then even after reinstalling/updating, and then enabling troubleshooting mode with just a default WordPress theme such as TwentyTwentyOne and only the Yoast SEO v15.9.1 plugin enabled, the fatal error still occurs on http://sunstoneconsult.com/press-release/?

    Are you using the Yoast SEO breadcrumbs on your website? Did you add the code in order to implement the breadcrumbs — https://yoast.com/help/implement-wordpress-seo-breadcrumbs/

    Thread Starter mainedogmag

    (@mainedogmag)

    Correct, after trying those things I still get the error.
    No, I have breadcrumbs turned off and have not added any code.

    @mainedogmag We understand that you previously tried disabling other plugin and that the error still occurred. Can you please confirm whether the issue still occurs when using a default theme such as TwentyTwenty and only the Yoast SEO plugin active?

    @gstar Are you also receiving the error or ‘Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: Argument 1 passed to Yoast\WP\SEO\Generators\Breadcrumbs_Generator::Yoast\WP\SEO\Generators\{closure}() must be an instance of Yoast\WP\SEO\Models\Indexable’ as well?

    If so, per the forum guidelines, we ask that you please create a separate topic for the issue you are experiencing.

    That way it’s easier to track issues and provide assistance on your specific concerns on your specific site. Plus, you will get your own alerts for the issue rather than someone else’s. You may make a new topic here: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/wordpress-seo/#new-post.
