Fatal Error trying to access gallery pages

I don’t know what I’m doing, so if anyone can help, I’ll be more grateful than I can say. Here’s the full error message:

Is this a new installation? Or have you currently disabled Photonic on your site?
Neither, I’ve had it on there a long time, although it updated two days ago. At the moment the only thing disabled is the auto-update which was done after discovering this
So, is the gallery removed currently? What was the gallery shortcode that you had?
I am just puzzled because this is not something that is showing up in any of my testing, and the new update went out a couple of days back with over 4000 downloads and no report of this issue.
Gallery is still there- I haven’t changed anything at all, I know it was working over christmas. The guy I normally go to looked at it and hasn’t a clue (the first time in ten years!) and suggested I try here.
Sorry, I am a little confused. Right now the page you have listed seems to render without any issues (no fatal error). I don’t see any Photonic gallery over there though. For the page you linked, what is the shortcode that you had (or still have) in place? I am guessing you removed the shortcode if it was causing an error?
It seems I have linked the wrong page. If you click on any of the galleries on that page (pics and text should link) then once more on any option, you’ll see it. No idea why the rest of the link is missing, but here’s one of them…

Thanks – I see the error now. Can you tell me what shortcode you have on this page?
Honestly, I don’t know. When I try to edit the page, instead the error message shows. To make the pages I’ve done nothing more than adding things using WP’s editor, pre-Blocks.
When I try to edit the page, instead the error message shows.
Just above your editor, at the top right you will see two tabs – “Visual” and “Text”. Can you click on the tab that says “Text”, and let me know what you are seeing? You can see the raw shortcode there.
Also, do you have access to the the wp-content/plugins folder in your host’s installation? If you do, I would suggest deleting the folder called “photonic”, and reinstalling the plugin (this would ensure that you are eliminating the possibility of a bad install). Note: don’t “Delete” from your dashboard under “Plugins” – that will also delete any options you might have defined for Photonic.
None of it shows, no tabs or anything. It’s literally a blank page with the error message, that’s all

Then I am fairly certain your installation was somehow corrupted.
Are you able to go Users → Profile in your WP dashboard and select the option that says “Disable the visual editor when writing”? That might let you view your post in the editor.
Hi,
I was wondering if you were able to pull the shortcode being used for your gallery. I am about to release a patch, so if you can give me the shortcode and there is indeed a problem, I can include that fix as well.I did that, but it hasn’t made any difference at all I’m afraid
I don’t know if this helps, but in the Photonic section, in Settings > > Generic Options > > Generic Settings > > Custom Shortcode is blank, so the default gallery is being used.
Were you able to reinstall the plugin?
Photonic should not impact your editor’s display in any way – it never tries to display a gallery in the post editor, so if you are getting a fatal error in your editor, you will need to reinstall the plugin by downloading it directly from here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/photonic/advanced/
