• I’ve installed WordPress twice via CPanelX on our GoDaddy account, and both installations do not work anymore. When I navigate to a site, it gives me a FATAL ERROR and redirects me to a generic hosting page.

The two installations are located in:
    http://www.ubntag.com/att
    http://www.ubntag.com/promotions

Each time I find a resolution to an error [such as UNDEFINED wp_get_current_user()], another one appears in another file. It seems to have no end.

I’m assuming there’s an issue with CPanelX installing it automatically. I don’t want to start all over and run an import of my WP Backup; I want to know if there’s a way to save my two previous installations.

The current error I can’t resolve is:
Fatal error: Call to undefined method WP::init() in /home/sanchez2013/public_html/promotions/wp-settings.php on line 340

  • Why don’t you do this using Ftp softwares like Filezilla to upload and install WordPress ? Believe me it is very easy. Upload the WordPress files and edit wp-config.php file.

And I am sorry but are you sure you installed the correct files? I couldn’t understand why there is a folder named promotions ! 🙂

    Thanks, Gökay.

I installed WordPress in the promotions folder to maintain all promotions via wordpress, away from the main site.

To be a bit clearer, my installations of wordpress work *fine* when I first install them. It’s only after a few days that something goes wrong and the FATAL ERROR appears. I have no idea why.

I also installed manually though Filezilla, and the same issue happened a few days later (today). I’m guessing there’s something wrong with the theme. I’ve lost my database for the third time.
