  • Hi I’m completely new to wordpress and just tried to select a theme to create my website and now I am unable to even log into my the site as this message comes up for both public and admin:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_get_theme() in public_html/wp-content/themes/blackbird/functions/theme-options.php on line 7

Any help would be appreciated Thanks

I have the latest upgrade for WordPress because I did that before doing anything else..activated the Blackbird theme, and from that point forward I can’t do anything..can’t log into site admin, nothing…tried some of the suggestions above, going into
(changing yourdomain to my domain name), said it wasn’t found..

Is there anything else I can try?

I forgot…the error I get when trying to get to my site, Error 500..internal server error…

    Hello peachythings,

    Whats your website address?

If you have the FTP Access to your server, goto the wp-content/themes directory and rename or delete the “blackbird” directory, it should disable blackbird theme completely. If there is any theme related issue, your website would come back to normal.

However, I don’t think Internal Server Error is related to the Theme itself. I would recommend you to contact your Hosting Company and ask them why are you seeing the message.
