    I got a notification in my elementor pagebuilder plugin to upgrade it, i clicked on the upgrade option, however the upgrade was not completed it showed some error after that when i type my website url, the following error shows up in the screen.

    Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required ‘/home/u250257086/public_html/wp-content/plugins/elementor/includes/plugin.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/php-5.6/pear’) in /home/u250257086/public_html/wp-content/plugins/elementor/elementor.php on line 41

    I am clueless now what to do even /wp-admin is not working. I can access only by filezilla FTP.

    This might be because of some files getting corrupt while updating the plugin.
    As you can access files through filezilla, just the elementor plugin’s folder
    /public_html/wp-content/plugins/elementor

    Then access the admin and re-install the plugin.

    Thankx for you prompt response.
    You mean to say that at first i have to access plugin via filezilla then delete elementor. After deleting elementor i will be able to use wp_admin, after that using dashboard is should download elementor again ?

    I have not made the website public yet, i was planning to do it tomorrow, i have writen about 14 pages and built a custom homepage, but i have not stored any backup nor written them somewhere else, will all be lost ?

    yes you got it right.

    Just don’t touch your pages and other settings before re-installing elementor. Nothing will be lost.

    You can also try to download Elementor from wordpress repository here.
    extract it and then upload it through ftp overriding your existing Elementor folder.

    I uploaded elementer from wordpress extracted it and uploaded it through ftp but its still showing the same error…

    The simplest answer to this issue is that the file – /wp-content/plugins/elementor/includes/plugin.php – still doesn’t exist, or doesn’t exist at the correct location. Can you access wp-admin?
