Support » Plugin: Code Snippets » Fatal Error report from WordPress for Snippets Plugin

  • Hi,

The new function in WordPress 5.2.2 that detects plugin errors has reported this error on the staging version of my site twice, and the live version once. None of these instances seems to have caused a problem with the site being viewed, so I’ve left the plugin activated for now.

    Cheers
    Chris

    Hey,

This error message is actually coming from the code in one of the snippets you were trying to save.

The good thing is that if it’s only coming from the class-edit-menu.php file, then the code was not permanently saved and there shouldn’t be anything you need to fix.

    Same issue for me.
Can not activate Snippet Code. :-((

@momo-fr if you’re receiving an error like this, it is very likely that your snippet code contains a syntax error.

Thanks for getting back to me Shea, much appreciated.

It’s odd that this has happened now as I haven’t updated any snippet code for months, but I presume that it’s a conflict caused by a theme of WP version update?

At least I know where to look for the issue now 🙂

    Cheers

I can’t really say without seeing the specific error message. Feel free to create a new thread and copy the message there, and I’ll take a look at it.

    Hi Shea,

Apologies for the tardy reply, I’ve been offline for 24 hours (connection issues) and just catching up today. I’ll check the error message and post again.

    Cheers

    Hi Chris,

My apologies, I didn’t see that you were the original poster in this thread – no need to create a new one.

Like I said before though, if you can post an error message, I can hopefully help in tracking down where the error is originating.
