Fatal error problem in /modules/sharedaddy.php
You seem to be missing some files in the plugin. Could you log in to your site via FTP, delete the plugin folder, and reinstall Jetpack manually as explained here:
Let me know if it helps.
I have a fatal error message and cannot access my website. The message is shown below:

Thank you for your response. I checked out your website – baby Lili is adorable 🙂
Back to my problem – can you tell me how to reinstall please since I can’t access my site? I am so new at this website thingy – i don’t know what FTP is? Would you mind guiding me through it please?
FTP is what you can use to connect to your webserver provided by your hosting company. If you don’t have your credentials, you’ll likely have to contact your hosting company to request them. Once you’ve got them, you’ll need to connect to your server, and re-install Jetpack by finding your ~/wp-content/plugins/jetpack folder, deleting that folder (just the
jetpackfolder — not anything above it), then re-installing through your WordPress admin interface, or downloading Jetpack manually, unzipping it, and uploading it through your FTP client of choice.
Thank You for your solution.
I installed the plugin by ftp but its not ok. the error in also other blog of mine. please see the sharebuddy.php file and give me a real solution.
@muttakee Could you access your site via FTP, find the sharedaddy file under wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/sharedaddy.php, and let me know what you see on line 11?
Fatal error: Call to undefined function plugin_dir_path() in /home/……./plugins/jetpack/modules/sharedaddy/sharedaddy.php on line 11
Click on the image link. that is a screenshot of plugins/jetpack/modules/sharedaddy.php file in my site.
its a problem of jetpack/modules/sharedaddy/sharedaddy.php file.
here is the screenshot of jetpack/modules/sharedaddy/sharedaddy.php file
this is not only in my site. please check others site that using jetpack you will find same problem.
If for some reason you don’t have the
plugin_dir_path()function available, then you’ve got bigger problems.
The function is defined here:
and should be loaded well in advance of Jetpack or any other plugin being loaded up.
Can you check your ~/wp-includes/plugin.php file to make sure it’s fully there and has that function defined?
please check this image http://i.imgur.com/dWZtdHl.png
i think its ok 🙂
Could you let us know what version of WP and Jetpack you’re using on your site?
WordPress 3.8 and Jetpack by WordPress.com version 2.7
Unfortunately we were not able to reproduce the issue.
plugin_dir_path()doesn’t seem to be loaded on your site, or at least not before any of the plugins are. That could be caused by an issue with your WordPress installation, or with your server configuration.
Could you try to reinstall WordPress?
If that doesn’t help, could you check your site with the Sucuri SiteCheck tool to make it hasn’t been corrupted?
Let me know how it goes.
