My WP blog is hosted with Godaddy. After intalling some plugins, I get a Fatal error message when I try to view my site. Here’s part of the response Godaddy to my request: “Zend Optimizer™ is a free application that runs the files encoded by the Zend Guard, while enhancing the performance of PHP applications. * To enable Zend Optimizer on your hosting account, you must either modify or create a php.ini file if your hosting account runs PHP 4, or your php5.ini file if your hosting account runs PHP 5. The file you create or modify must include the following code: * [Zend] zend_optimizer.optimization_level=15 zend_extension_manager.optimizer =/usr/local/Zend/lib/Optimizer-3.3.3 zend_extension_manager.optimizer_ts=/usr/ local/Zend/lib/Optimizer_TS-3.3.3 zend_extension=/usr/local/Zend/lib/Optimizer- 3.3.3/ZendExtensionManager.so zend_extension_ts=/usr/local/Zend/lib/Optimizer_TS- 3.3.3/ZendExtensionManager_TS.so * NOTE: We recommend backing up your php.ini or php5.ini file before modifying it.” **All these are above my head. It’s because GoDaddy doesn’t support the update, but it would have been nice to have known that before we clicked the prompt on WordPress to accept the update. It’s devastating because it’s a business blog, and he’s built up a following and amassed a large number of comments. * The Web designer tried pulling the scripting error out of the indicated line, but it just keeps moving through the code and giving errors with new line errors indicated. Do I need to download the Zend Optimizer as well? * James, if you can advise in any way, it would be much appreciated.
