fatal error please advise server crashed with jetpack 2.9.1

  • ok so I did a clean update jetpack 2.9.1 and when I went to publish a post my website crashed. white screen I went to php admin to repair database and found a conflict with zemanta wordpress related posts v3.3.3 http://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-23-related-posts-plugin/ I manually deleted it from plugins and the table and my website came back and I was allowed to publish a post. I was not using jetpack related posts because I don’t want any images with my related posts and don’t see anyway to disable images with jetpack related posts. now I know this was an issue with 2.9 as well but not 2.8., how can I use another related posts plugin with jetpack? if I don’t use jetpack related posts? fyi

    Hi there,

    I tried to reproduce what you said, and I was unable to. I can have both Jetpack’s Related Posts module and the plugin you mention, active at the same time, with no errors.

    To turn off thumbnails, try the following code in a functionality plugin or in your theme’s functions.php:

    function jetpackme_related_posts_remove_thumb($options){
    $options['show_thumbnails'] = false;
    return $options;
    }
    add_filter( 'jetpack_relatedposts_filter_options', 'jetpackme_related_posts_remove_thumb' );

    As for the issue with Live Writer, we’re already discussing this in the other thread, so I’ll update there when we have news.
