 * I literally just created a new website yesterday. I was playing around with trying
to figure out what theme I might want to use when everything crashed and I received
a “fatal error notification.” I can’t login to my wordpress account at all. I
tried following the tips to debug (heading into the cpanel). I found the file
that is supposedly causing the error, but there’s no error listed in the file.
I’m at a loss here. Not sure how to fix this. I have no content saved, since
I didn’t even get to the part where I started writing content. If I have to completely
wipe it or lose anything, I’m fine with that.
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Ffatal-error-on-website-4%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)
   to see the link]_

 * Try [manually resetting your plugins](https://wordpress.org/support/article/faq-troubleshooting/#how-to-deactivate-all-plugins-when-not-able-to-access-the-administrative-menus)(
no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one
individually until you find the cause.
 * If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via [SFTP or FTP](https://wordpress.org/support/article/ftp-clients/),
or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel (consult your hosting
provider’s documentation for specifics on these), navigate to /wp-content/themes/
and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the
default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme
   functions can interfere like plugins).
