• Hi, Our website wasn’t loading today and WordPress sent me a message saying the cause was your plugin. Everything is fine if the plugin is deactivated, but when I try to activate it, I get a fatal error message. It looks like you updated the plugin 2 hours ago so I’m guessing there’s a connection. Can you please look at this for me? I have used this plugin on many pages so having it deactivated is a big problem.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

NUTS. Now I need to review and archive all of the author’s replies.

@iteamweb I’ve deleted your offer to login to your user’s site. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials. I have flagged your account temporarily. That just means that your post will need to be approved and @ notifications from you will not work.

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.

I had the same issue and upgrading to php7 solved the problem of line 214 and so on. I agree with @jdembowski that asking for credentials is not safe for anyone. Thank you in any case.
