 * I can not activate the plugin. I get the error:
    `Fatal error: Can't use function
   return value in write context in /home/thvjsdxp/public_html/wp-content/plugins/
   woc-open-close/includes/classes/class-functions.php on line 181`

 * You were right. The server was running PHP 5.4
    I have switched it to 7.2, now
   it seems to be fine.
