    Receiving the message:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class Facebook in /home/content/80/4768480/html/theyayornay/wp-content/plugins/wordsocial/inc/facebook/facebook.php on line 93

I am unable to delete or deactivate the Wordsocial plug-in because anytime I press any link or option it takes me to this error page. What can I do?

  • Use FTP or your hosting providers CPanel to access your file directories.

Browser to /wp-content/plugins and delete the folder wordsocial.

This will delete the plugin, and allow you access to your admin panel.

Please forgive my ignorance but I don’t know how to use FTP or the CPanel to access my file directories in WordPress. Usually I would use the Editor function but it gives me the same error message.

Yeah, you won’t be able to use any of the wordpress links or features until you get rid of that offending code.

If you are a novice, I would suggest calling your hosting provider, and have them walk you through the steps I gave you above.

Tell them you would like to know how to access your CPanel, and how to manage files from the CPanel.

Thanks for following up. Unfortunately, WordPress won’t help me unless I pay for an upgrade. I can’t export the blog to gain FTP access because the export tool also gives me the fatal error message! I’m totally stuck. Any other suggestions?

Are you using a self-hosted wordpress.org website or are you using a wordpress.com hosted site?

    It’s hosted by GoDaddy

Right. So call GoDaddy, and ask them how you access your CPanel.

Tell you what, do you have a login username and password for your godaddy account?

Now I do! It took awhile to get from the owner of the site. I am just an editor. What should I do now?
