• I just went in to WordPress and clicked the “upgrade to new version of WordPress” button to upgrade my blog. I got the “maintenance underway” message for several minutes, and now the following message has popped up:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_clone() in E:\domains\t\thomasriggs.net\user\htdocs\blog\wp-includes\cache.php on line 380

Now I can’t even access the blog or the CMS. Please help!

  • the error that i see now is as follows:

Fatal error: Class 'WP_Widget' not found in E:\domains\t\thomasriggs.net\user\htdocs\blog\wp-includes\default-widgets.php on line 15

first thing you probably try is uploading the file wp-includes/widgets.php

Hmm, that’s strange that you’re seeing that error message because whether I go to the blog (http://thomasriggs.net/blog) or to the administrator page at WordPress.org, I’m still getting the original error message. Any other suggestions?

..or to the administrator page at WordPress.org

umm, you dont go there. you may go here:

    thomasriggs.net/wp-admin

but THAT has nothing to do with THIS web site.

wordpress.org is just a place that people can download the software, look at plugins and themes, and post on the these forums. It has NO connection to your blog, or the error that you see.

    and as I said,

    http://www.thomasriggs.net/blog/

throws the error I pasted above, and I told you what to do.

If you see OTHER errors, than you need to NOT only re-upload the file i already mentioned, you need to re-upload all of them.

Until youve done that, I dont know why you are asking for more suggestions.
