    Occasionally access at our Blog becomes more and more slowly. At last an error-message appears:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function: get_bloginfo() in /homepages/5/d124296299/htdocs/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 304

    Line 304 runs as follows:

    header( ‘Content-Type: ‘ . get_bloginfo(‘html_type’) . ‘; charset=’ . get_bloginfo(‘charset’) );

    Sooner or later the access works as usual. What is it? How one can clear the problem? Some hints would be great! Thank you in anticipation.

    WP has a problem to connect ot your MySQL database. I suggest 2 actions. First, upload again the file /wp-includes/wp-db.php. Second, if it is not working, try to update to WP 2.0.5, after upgrading, it will ask to update the database (done automatically), because the developpers fixed a bug that slows databases created before version of WP 2.0.2.

    Thank you very much, PozHonks!

    The re-loading I already tried. To some degree with success. The 2nd point – upgrading to 2.0.x – I still “fear”. For the simple reason I can not risk a turn-off of our blog. Nearly 1000 people are viting us daily. It plays an important role in our daily school life.

    But I really should take your advice into consideration.
