I click the button ‘Create new staging site’
There’s a short pause and then the following message:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/burgundy-report/public_html/wp/wp-content/plugins/wp-staging/includes/template-functions.php on line 289

I’ve tried several times, always the same result. I’m sure you have lots of ideas to help resolve that 😉

    Hello Bill,

you can bypass this only when you increase the php max_execution script time in the php.ini. The error is caused because you have probably a huge website with a lot of files and the script is not able to detect all files during the 30 sec limit.

    Thanks Rene
And do you have a recommendation for the time (I assume in seconds) – or just trial and error(?)
Yes the site’s been running under WP since version 1.4, so it’s quite large 😉
And having just checked, unsuccessfully, you might have to point me in the direction of where to find php.ini
